Man Crushed against Milk Float Sues Driver for £200k Damages
A man, who was crushed against a milk float, is seeking £200,000 in damages.
Trevor Wilson was working as a Franchise Support Dairy Supervisor for the firm Dairy Crest when the accident happened in March 2009. He was working at the back of a milk float in Croham Road, South Croydon when another vehicle drove into him.
He was crushed against the milk float he was working from in the incident, and suffered serious injuries. His exact injuries have not been reported, but legal papers submitted at court contained three medical reports documenting them.
Your Local Guardian is reporting that Mr Wilson is making a crush injury compensation claim against the driver of the milk float. His legal team argued that the driver was negligent because he was driving too fast and not looking where he was going. The driver’s insurance company has already admitted liability for the incident in a letter just three months after the accident took place.
The exact amount of damages to be paid will now be decided in a court hearing. Mr Wilson is reportedly seeking £200,000.
